I obtained my Bachelors and Master's in Social Work from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Once I made the move to sunny South Florida, I worked my way up to becoming Lead Therapist at a well-respected residential treatment center. I supported adolescents and their families in coping with the effects of anxiety, depression, personal conflict, life transitions, neurodivergence, grief, abuse, and trauma.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma informed, offering compassion for the ways you’ve had to adapt or adjust to get by. I value honesty and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, after all, what's the point of therapy if we're beating around the bush?
I bring curiosity and patience to our sessions, wanting to understand you more deeply and collaborate to help you uncover your potential at your own pace. Everyone is unique and deserves therapy that matches their needs. I take an individualized approach incorporating modalities such as: NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
